Bathtubs and bathtub materials are not made to resist abrasion. They are designed to give you a beautiful, easy to clean, sanitary surface for bathing. Therefore, do not use scouring pads or abrasive cleaners as they will dull the surface. After each use, you need only to rinse the tub with plain water and a soft sponge or wash cloth. On those occasions when the tub needs to be cleaned with other than a water rinse, a mild all purpose liquid cleaner such as ivory or palmolive and a plastic scrub/sponge, or a dobie pad will do.

On occasion, you may have some soap or mineral build up on your tub and walls or shower base. We recommend you use only Tub Stuff. It is a specifically formulated cleaner/restorer to safely and effectively remove soap scum, hard water stains, rust, mineral deposits and contaminates from non-skid, acrylic, fiberglass, and plastic surfaces. Tub Stuff is available On-Line or Phone Orders at 1-312-527-9300.

Chemical drain cleaners are strongly corrosive alkalies or concentrated acids. Chemicals strong enough to dissolve grease, hair, paper and other debris can also damage your eyes, lungs and skin. Even a small amount of drain chemicals can result in injuries. To say that you should use these products with extreme caution, is an understatement. It is preferred that you do not use chemical drain openers at all.
We would suggest that you use mechanical methods. The best way to clean a drain is to push or pull on the clog. A rubber plunger is what we recommend. If this device does not solve your problem, call your local plumber.

Occasionally your drain may slow down due to hair, etc. in the crossbars. In order to remove the standard drain plug, you must push it down in the closed position, turn the knob counter-clockwise, and remove it. Under the knob there is a stationary brass peg: turn the peg to the left. (YOU MAY NEED TO USE A PLIERS FOR THIS PROCESS). When you remove the peg, the drain plug will also come out. Remove any obstacles from the crossbars. To replace , follow the instructions, turning the peg and knob clockwise until tight.
